Northern Lights Make Rare Appearance Over Benbrook.

What a night. Over the weekend, Benbrook residents who stayed up and aimed their cameras north got a rare treat: seeing the Northern Lights appear in Texas skies.

Thanks to a strong geomagnetic storm, the auroras dipped far enough south to be seen right here in Benbrook, though mostly through phone cameras. Locals who followed the tips, using Night Mode, long exposure, and avoiding streetlights, captured soft bands of color dancing across the night sky.

It wasn’t visible to the naked eye for most, but with the right settings, phones picked up what felt like a brush with something magical. The moment came and went between 9 PM and 2 AM, offering a brief and beautiful surprise that had many sharing photos and stories afterward.

If you caught a photo of the show, don’t keep it to yourself. Share it around. These moments don’t come often.
