Another school year is in the books, and Westpark Elementary’s PTA made every moment count. From coffee runs to cookie Fridays, this group showed up in full force for students, staff, and the wider community.
The numbers tell the story. With 384 members, the PTA pulled off a record-breaking Day of Awesomeness fundraiser, raising over $15,000. They treated staff to more than 50 Sonic drinks and coffees, handed out 375 books during Literacy Week, and baked over 5,000 cookies just because.
The support didn’t stop at campus walls. PTA members donated nearly 300 reusable bags to The Welman Project, collected 582 items of clothing for local families, and made Christmas brighter for three angel tree kids. Teachers felt the love too, with $2,667 in stipends and 14 luncheons and treat days throughout the year.
Students got creative as well, submitting 17 entries to the Reflections arts program, with three advancing to the Texas PTA level. Westpark also took home seven Texas PTA Membership Awards.
