Lady Bobcats Fall to Red-Hot Burkburnett, Rematch Set for Tonight.

Benbrook’s postseason push hit a snag last night as the Lady Bobcats ran into a Burkburnett squad that’s firing on all cylinders.

The Lady Bulldogs powered past Benbrook 11-1, delivering a dominant win that marks their 12th blowout victory this season.

From the first pitch, Burkburnett looked locked in, while the Lady Bobcats struggled to find rhythm on either side of the ball. Offensively quiet and defensively out of sync, Benbrook couldn’t keep pace with a team averaging nearly 12 runs per game over their current seven-game win streak.

The loss halts Benbrook’s impressive six-game home winning streak and drops their overall record to 18-10. Meanwhile, Burkburnett climbs to 17-16 and continues to build steam at just the right time in the postseason.

The two teams won’t have to wait long for a rematch. Game three is set for 6:30 p.m. tonight, weather permitting, at Castleberry High School Fields. Benbrook has a shot at redemption—and a chance to even the series on their home turf.
