Benbrook’s golf scene just got a major win. Local standout Avery Glanzer is officially headed to the UIL Class 5A State Golf Tournament after a lights-out performance at the Region I-4A tourney this week.
Glanzer fired a solid 78 on day one, then turned up the heat with a 71 on day two—finishing with a 149 overall to earn her spot as one of the top three individual medalists not on an advancing team.
She’ll now take on the state’s best at the legendary Legends Golf Course in Kingsland, with the girls’ tournament set for April 28–29. The boys will follow May 5–6.
