Residents around Benbrook and West Fort Worth may notice more military aircraft overhead as Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth supports temporary hurricane evacuation operations.
In a public notice, NAS JRB Fort Worth advised surrounding communities to expect increased aircraft activity and temporary changes to traffic patterns on the installation.
The base said it will not release specific aircraft movements, locations, or schedules for operational security reasons.
Residents who notice additional aircraft activity can follow the base’s official Facebook page for updates concerning any impacts on the surrounding community.
Aircraft noise complaints can also be directed to NASJRBFtwo.noisecomplaints@us.navy.mil.
