Families in Benbrook and surrounding communities needing a little extra help this holiday season can receive food assistance and sign up for a Christmas Angel Tree program on Tuesday, November 10, at Bear Creek Community Church in Cresson.
The church is partnering with Food for Families North Texas to distribute food from 6 to 7 p.m., with registration beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event is open to families living in ZIP codes 76035, 76044, and 76126.
Participants must bring a photo ID showing an address within one of the eligible ZIP codes. Those picking up food for another family must also bring that family’s ID, with a limit of three pickups per person.
Families can also register children for the Christmas Angel Tree program from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. A parent or legal guardian living within the eligible ZIP codes must complete registration and provide a photo ID showing their address.
Both programs will take place at Bear Creek Community Church, 18600 US Highway 377 South in Cresson, offering qualifying families an opportunity to receive food assistance and prepare for the upcoming Christmas season.
