Cougar Band Builds Toward UIL.

October is “Bandtober” at Western Hills, and the Cougar Band is right in the middle of a busy stretch.

The band performed Monday, Oct. 5, at the FWISD Benchmark Contest at Clark Stadium, where students received feedback from judges as they continue preparing for UIL competition later this month.

Next comes a Thursday night football performance, followed by the Springtown Contest on Saturday. Each appearance gives the Cougars another chance to sharpen their show before UIL competition on Oct. 17.

Western Hills also recognized Ms. Hinds, Ms. Whiddon, and Ms. Lagunas for the time and leadership they have poured into the band program throughout the season.
