Benbrook emergency crews responded Wednesday evening to a serious traffic crash near Winscott Road and Interstate 820.
According to radio traffic reported by CrimeRadar.app, the call came in shortly after 5 p.m. and involved at least one red-priority patient, indicating a potentially critical injury.
Multiple fire and medical units were dispatched to the scene. An additional advanced life support unit was requested, and a medical helicopter was initially placed on standby before later being canceled. Benbrook’s advanced life support unit was assigned to transport the patient.
Emergency personnel remain involved as authorities begin investigating the crash. Drivers traveling through the Winscott Road and I-820 area should use caution, expect possible delays, and consider an alternate route.
