The first week of school rarely goes exactly as planned. Fort Worth ISD is asking families who encounter problems to make sure the people closest to the issue hear about them first.
In a message to families, the district acknowledged an increase in parents sharing school concerns on social media and encouraged them to contact their campus principal directly.
โThe principal must be the first person to be aware of any and all issues affecting the students and staff,โ the district said, adding that principals need an opportunity to respond and work toward a solution.
Families who need contact information can use the FWISD School Directory to find their campus principal. Parents may also copy the appropriate regional chief when emailing about a concern.
For Benbrook-area families, Isaac Williams serves as the South Regional Chief and can be reached at isaac.williams@fwisd.org.
The districtโs message is simple: when something is not working at school, speak up, but start with the campus so those responsible have a chance to address it.
