Football season is almost here, and the Western Hills Cougars are kicking it off with a day centered on family.
On Saturday, Aug. 8, Cougar football players and their families are invited to celebrate the end of summer camp and the start of the 2026 season with a free Family BBQ at 11 a.m. in the Western Hills Field House parking lot. The event is open to all Cougar football families in grades 9 through 12 and is hosted by Lights Church.
The afternoon will also include a special moment for the senior class. Beginning at 11:20 a.m., seniors are invited to bring their mom or another important woman in their life for commemorative photos on Cougar Field. Dads are welcome to join the photos as well.
Players, families, and supporters can expect hot dogs, burgers, and a chance to spend time together before the school year and football season officially get underway.
With practices already in full swing, Saturday offers one more opportunity to celebrate the team, recognize the senior class, and build excitement before kickoff.
