FWISD Teacher Vacancies Drop to 16 Ahead of New School Year.

As the new school year draws closer, Fort Worth ISD continues making progress in filling classrooms across the district.

After losing more than 1,000 teachers during the last school year following the Texas Education Agency’s takeover of FWISD, Chief of Staff Dr. Kushner shared an encouraging update showing teacher vacancies have dropped to just 16 districtwide as of July 27.

The current openings are:

• North: 2
• Central: 4
• South: 2
• Elevate: 8

The district also maintains a live vacancy tracker, allowing prospective educators to see where positions remain available as hiring continues.
