A royal visit recently brought international attention to one of Fort Worth’s most cherished landmarks.
Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado of Japan toured the Japanese Garden at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden during her visit to Texas. The visit highlighted the strong cultural ties between Japan and North Texas while showcasing the garden’s tranquil beauty.
Princess Takamado was in Texas as Honorary Patron of the Japan Football Association. Opened in 1973, the 7.5 acre Japanese Garden was recently recognized as the most peaceful place in Texas and the seventh quietest destination in the United States.
Just a short drive from Benbrook, it’s a nearby destination worth experiencing for yourself.
