Sometimes community service looks a lot like hard work, wheelbarrows, and fresh mulch.
This week, members of Scout Troop 95 spent the day volunteering at the Benbrook Community Center YMCA, helping to improve the Playhouse Playground for the children and families who enjoy it year-round.
The scouts rolled up their sleeves and spread fresh mulch across the playground, helping create a safer and more welcoming place for kids to play, learn, and grow.
YMCA staff thanked the troop for their dedication, teamwork, and willingness to serve others, noting that projects like these make a lasting difference in the community.
Acts of service often happen quietly, but their impact can be seen every day. Thanks to the efforts of Scout Troop 95, Benbrook’s youngest YMCA visitors will have an even better place to make memories for years to come.
