Give More Life: Benbrook Blood Drive Set for June 30.

A single blood donation can make a life-changing difference, and later this month, Benbrook residents will have an opportunity to do just that.

The American Red Cross will host a community blood drive at Winscott Road Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Tuesday, June 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The drive will take place in the chapel at 1001 Winscott Road in Benbrook.

Summer often brings increased demand for blood donations, while donor participation tends to decline. Local blood drives like this one help ensure hospitals have the resources they need for emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments, and other critical medical needs.

Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled through the American Red Cross. Donors who give blood between June 29 and July 12 will also receive a limited-edition American Red Cross Looney Tunes T-shirt while supplies last.
