FWISD Basketball Camp Gives Young Players a Summer Shot at the Game.

For kids looking to stay active this summer, Fort Worth ISD is bringing basketball back to the court with a four-day camp focused on fundamentals, skill-building, and fun.

The FWISD Basketball Camp runs June 22 through 25 and is open to boys and girls entering grades 3 through 9. Campers will learn the basics of the game from experienced middle and high school coaches from across the district, giving young athletes a chance to sharpen their skills while spending time with other players their age.

From dribbling and shooting to teamwork and game awareness, the camp is designed for both beginners and players hoping to improve before next season tips off.

Summer camps like these have become a go-to option for many families trying to keep kids active, connected, and learning during the school break. For students interested in basketball, it is also an early chance to build confidence before stepping onto school courts later in the year.

Parents can learn more and register online through FWISD Basketball Camp.
