Benbrook Beginner Band Earns Top Scores at Music Festival.

The early practices, squeaky notes, and long hours of learning new instruments are already paying off for a group of young Bobcat musicians.

Students in Benbrook Middle-High School’s Beginner Band recently earned Division 1 ratings at the Pride of Texas Music Festival, marking a major accomplishment for a group still early in their musical journey.

Led by Mr. Reinhart and Dr. Garcia, the beginner musicians were recognized for their performance after months of rapid growth, practice, and preparation.

For many students, beginner band is their first experience performing as part of a full ensemble, where they learn not only music fundamentals but also teamwork, discipline, and confidence along the way.

School supporters credited both the students’ dedication and the band directors’ leadership for helping the group progress so quickly this year.

The achievement serves as another reminder that some of the biggest moments in school programs often start with beginners simply learning one note at a time.
