For many nearing retirement, one of the biggest questions is not whether Social Security matters, but how and when to claim it wisely. A wrong move can impact income for years.
That is the focus behind an upcoming “Social Security 101” workshop hosted by Crissman Crombie of Irvin Insurance Agency. The sessions are designed to help residents better understand how Social Security benefits work and avoid common mistakes that can affect long-term retirement income.
Topics will include the best age to begin claiming benefits, how early filing can reduce lifetime income, strategies to maximize benefits, and how spousal and survivor benefits work.
Two workshop dates are scheduled:
- May 5 at 6:30 p.m. at The Grandview, 8533 Brewer Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76123
- May 12 at 6 p.m. at Chisholms Restaurant, 113 S Main St., Godley, TX 76044
Residents can reserve a spot by calling 817-249-4400 or emailing crissman.cirvin@farmersagency.com.
