Midday Crash Near Ventana Backs Up Traffic, Clears Within the Hour.

BENBROOK, TX — A busy stretch near Aledo Road slowed to a standstill Wednesday afternoon after a three-vehicle crash just east of the RM 2871 intersection at the Ventana neighborhood entrance.

The accident, reported shortly after noon, involved a Mercedes SUV, a commercial minivan, and a Waste Management truck. Drivers in the area found traffic backed up in both directions as the vehicles remained disabled in the roadway.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, but early indications pointed to minimal injuries and no fatalities.

For about an hour, the area saw delays as authorities worked to clear the scene and restore traffic flow. By just after 1 p.m., movement had returned to normal.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.

It’s a reminder of how quickly a routine drive can change, and how important it is to stay alert on some of the area’s busiest roads.
