Streak Snapped, But Bobcats Basebell Show Fight on the Road.

BENBROOK, TX — Every streak meets its moment, and for Benbrook, it came in a tight, hard-fought game on the road.

Riding a six-game win streak and fresh off a seventh straight district title, the Bobcats faced Celina in a non-district matchup that lived up to the billing. It was a pitcher’s game from the start, with both teams trading scoreless innings and keeping fans locked in.

Dan Stiefvater took the mound for Benbrook and delivered a steady outing, recording 15 outs while holding Celina in check through the early innings. The breakthrough came in the fourth, when a triple by Celina’s Mason Wood led to the game’s only two runs for the home team.

The Bobcats kept their poise and kept pressing, though. After several quiet innings, Ethan Tucker drove in a run in the sixth to cut the lead to 2-1, giving the Benbrook Bobcats a late opening. But the rally stalled, and the game slipped away.

Despite the loss, there were steady performances across the lineup. Tanner Madara led the offense with two hits in two at-bats, while the defense remained clean with no errors. Gilulianno Martinez handled the most chances in the field.

The Bobcats move to 19-9-1 on the season and return home this week to face Memorial. For a team that has built its identity on consistency, this one felt less like a setback and more like a reset before the next stretch.
