Average Joe’s Boxing Club made its first appearance at the Texas Golden Gloves and left with a strong impression. All four fighters representing the Benbrook-based gym placed in the competition, a solid start that reflects both preparation and discipline inside the ring.
The performance highlights a growing presence for boxing in the community, with young athletes putting in the work and seeing it pay off on a larger stage. For many, it is a reminder that high-level competition can start right here at home.
The gym is now opening its doors to others who want to get involved. New participants can try a free two-day trial class offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, giving residents a chance to experience the training environment firsthand.
