Lady Bobcats Golf Team Sits Second After Day One at Granbury Invite.

The Benbrook Lady Bobcats golf team is off to a strong start at the Lady Pirate Invitational, held March 13 at Harbor Lakes Golf Club in Granbury.

After the first round, the Lady Bobcats sit in second place overall, with a team score of 357, competing against several larger 5A and 6A programs.

Aledo leads the field with a team score of 346, while Benbrook and Weatherford are tied for second at 357. The Lady Bobcats have positioned themselves well heading into the final round.

Individually, Benbrook senior Avery Glanzer leads the entire tournament after an impressive opening round of 72, finishing the day even par and ahead of golfers from Joshua, Granbury, Aledo, and Weatherford.

Several other Lady Bobcats also contributed solid rounds, helping lift the team near the top of the standings:

• Avery Glanzer, senior, 72, even par, first place overall
• Campbell Glanzer, sophomore, 89, plus 17
• Jessica Anzaldua, senior, 91, plus 19
• Madison Willson, freshman, 105, plus 33
• Bay Bradshaw, sophomore, 134, plus 62

With one round remaining, the Lady Bobcats remain firmly in contention as they return to Harbor Lakes Golf Club for the final day of competition.
