Benbrook residents noticed an unusually high level of activity along the Trinity River this week as a film crew set up near Pecan Valley Golf Course.
Production trucks and equipment were seen unloading near the area across the river from the Trinity River bike trail and walking bridge. After speaking with crew members on site, nearby residents learned the filming is connected to an upcoming season of the television series Lioness.
The scene being filmed reportedly involves the discovery of a body near a creek, turning the normally quiet stretch of river and golf course scenery into a temporary film set.
The project is part of the growing list of productions from Texas filmmaker Taylor Sheridan, who often uses locations around North Texas in his shows, including Lioness and Landman.
For locals passing by on the trail or driving through the area, the sight of cameras and production crews brought a little Hollywood to Benbrook. Moments like this are becoming more familiar as Sheridan continues to spotlight real Texas locations in his work.
For many residents, it adds a bit of fun to watch these shows later and recognize a familiar Fort Worth or Benbrook landmark on screen.
