For many, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a day off work or school. For others, it is a chance to serve.
The Tarrant Area Food Bank is inviting volunteers to take part in its MLK Week of Service from January 20 through 24. Community members can spend time at the organization’s Distribution Center, helping sort and prepare donated food that will go directly to neighbors facing hunger across Tarrant County.
It is hands-on work with a clear impact. Every box sorted and every item packed helps stock pantry shelves and puts meals on tables for families who need support.
For Benbrook residents looking for a meaningful way to honor the holiday week, this is a practical opportunity to give back close to home.
