Some people quietly shape a community over time. Miranda Bauer has done that for 25 years at the Benbrook Public Library.
On Thursday, February 19, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., the library will host a come-and-go celebration in the meeting room to honor Bauer’s silver anniversary of service. Friends, families, and longtime patrons are invited to stop by and help mark the milestone.
Bauer joined the library in February 2001 as a Youth Services Librarian. Since then, she has served as a manager and is now an Assistant Director, guiding staff, supporting patrons, and strengthening programs that serve readers of all ages. Her steady leadership and commitment to service have played a key role in shaping the library many residents know today.
Twenty-five years in one place says a lot. It speaks to commitment, care, and a deep connection to community.
If the library has ever felt like a second home, this is a good week to stop in, say hello, and thank the person who helped make it that way.
