Benbrook Middle-High Sets Mandatory Cheer Tryout Meeting for February 25.

Benbrook Middle-High School is inviting students and families to take the first official step toward cheerleading with a mandatory tryout meeting later this month.

The meeting is required for all middle school and high school students interested in trying out for cheer, and a parent or guardian must attend for a student to remain eligible.

The meeting will be held on February 25, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Benbrook Middle-High School library. It is designed to walk families through expectations, the tryout process, and what it takes to represent the school as a cheerleader.

The program is calling on current sixth through eleventh graders who bring school spirit, commitment, teamwork, confidence, and a positive attitude. Coaches emphasize that this meeting is an important opportunity to ask questions, clarify responsibilities, and determine whether cheer is the right fit.

Students who plan to try out should mark their calendars now and make sure a parent can attend. Missing the meeting means missing the opportunity to try out this season.
