Residents keeping an eye on the proposed Rowan Ranch development will need to wait a little longer for the next chapter.
According to Benbrook Advocates for Responsible Development, the zoning change request tied to Rowan Ranch did not appear on last night’s Benbrook City Council agenda.
The reason was procedural: deadlines for adequate publicization of the item were not met. The request was previously denied by Planning and Zoning, which heightened anticipation about whether the City Council would take it up this week.
The good news for residents who want to stay engaged is that the next opportunity is already on the calendar. The January 15 City Council agenda is expected to include the item once it is officially posted. Agendas are published through the City of Benbrook’s website at https://www.benbrook-tx.gov.
Community advocates are encouraging neighbors to stay visible and involved, including putting yard signs back out to remind that local voices matter in shaping Benbrook’s future.
For many residents, this pause is not a setback but a moment to stay informed, stay organized, and be ready when the conversation resumes later this month.
