Drivers heading west on I-30 hit a full stop Tuesday night after a rollover accident shut down all westbound lanes near Chapel Creek just after 7:30 pm.
The closure backed up traffic as Fort Worth emergency crews worked the scene and cleared the roadway.
By around 9:45 pm, lanes were reopened and traffic began moving again. Authorities are still investigating what led to the rollover and have not yet released additional details.
If you travel that stretch regularly, it was a good reminder of how quickly conditions can change. Slow down, stay alert, and give yourself extra time on the road, especially at night.
