A deadly crash early Sunday morning claimed the life of a driver just minutes northwest of Benbrook.
Fort Worth police say officers were dispatched around 3:43 am on December 21 to the 5400 block of Interstate Loop 820 near Team Ranch Road after reports of a major accident. When crews arrived, they found a single vehicle involved in a fiery crash.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the identity of the victim, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Police say additional details will be shared as the investigation continues and information becomes available. Drivers in the area are reminded to use caution during overnight and early morning travel, especially along high-speed corridors like Loop 820.
