Families who were still hoping to get their kids on the court have a little more time. The Benbrook Community Center YMCA has extended registration for its Winter Basketball season through December 29.
The season begins January 3 and is open to boys and girls in the 5 to 6, 7 to 8, and 9 to 10 year old age divisions. The program focuses on fundamentals, teamwork, and giving kids a fun and active way to spend the winter months.
With the holidays right around the corner, organizers say registration can also double as a meaningful gift. It is a chance for kids to build confidence, make new friends, and enjoy being part of a team.
