Western Hills finally found its spark.
After a tough loss earlier in the week to Fort Worth Country Day, the Cougars stepped back on the court Friday looking for a reset and got exactly that with a strong 64 to 47 win over Life Oak Cliff.
It was the kind of bounce back their fans had been waiting for. The Cougars put together one of their best offensive showings of the season, a sharp contrast to the 26 points they managed in their previous outing. Shots fell, the pace picked up, and for the first time this year, everything seemed to click.
The victory moves Western Hills to 1-7 on the season, and while the record is still early-season rough, the energy coming out of Fridayโs win gives the team something solid to build on.
They will not have much time to celebrate. The Cougars return to action Saturday at 7:00 p.m. against Conrad, with both squads coming off games the night before. Cougar Pride fans will be watching to see if this win marks the start of a true turnaround.
