Western Hills High School has plenty to celebrate this week as the Cougars cap their football season with an impressive list of All District selections.
Several players earned First Team, Second Team, and Academic All-District honors in District 5-4A, shining a well-deserved spotlight on the talent and hard work within the program.
First Team nods went to standout receiver Rodney Hill and offensive lineman Mauricio Martinez, both of whom anchored key moments for the Cougars this fall. Second Team recognition was earned by running back Josh Oliver, defensive lineman Alex Richmond, and offensive lineman Anthony Rodriguez, each proving to be consistent playmakers on the field.
Just as meaningful is the Academic All-District list, which highlights the athletes who excelled in the classroom while balancing the demands of a full season. Honorees include Tyler Johnston, Damario Vaughn, Justin Hurst, Josh Oliver, DeโAnthony Monroe, Alex Richmond, Davian Ervin, Mohammed Soumahoro, and Josiah Pena.
It is a strong finish for a team that continued to push, compete, and represent Western Hills with pride. Way to go, Cougars.
