The VFW Memorial Post and Auxiliary 10429 offered warm Thanksgiving wishes to the Benbrook community, taking a moment to honor veterans, their families, and the neighbors who support them throughout the year.
As the holiday weekend continues, the post is inviting residents to step away from leftover turkey and gather for Burger Night on Friday, November 28. The post opens at 4:00 pm, and burgers will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. It is a relaxed way to ease into the weekend with good food and friendly company.
The ongoing canned food drive adds another layer of community spirit. Each person who brings two canned or boxed nonperishable food items will receive one dollar off their meal. The discount applies per person and can be used with a minimum $5 order. The more your group donates, the more everyone saves.
It is a simple, neighborly way to share a meal, support a local cause, and keep the holiday season focused on giving.
