The road has not been kind to the Western Hills Cougars, and Tuesday night added another tough chapter.
The team dropped a 76–64 loss to the Turner Lions, marking their seventh straight road defeat dating back to last season. It also extends their early record to 0–2.
This matchup carried extra weight after last year’s close 48–40 loss to Turner, but the Cougars will have to wait another season for a shot at payback.
Now the focus turns homeward. Western Hills returns to its own gym Friday night, where the team hopes familiar faces and loud support can spark a turnaround.
Tipoff against Young Men’s Leadership Academy is set for 7:30 p.m., giving the Cougars their first chance this season to shift momentum on their own court.
