The Benbrook City Council will convene a special meeting on Monday, November 17, at 5 p.m. to formally certify the results of the recent municipal election. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at 911 Winscott Road.
This canvassing session is a required step before newly elected officials can assume their roles. Although typically concise, it serves as an important procedural moment that finalizes the transition from campaign season to official city service.
The agenda is limited to four items: the call to order, citizen comments related to agenda items, the canvass of election results, and adjournment. Residents are welcome to attend and may address the council during the public comment period, where remarks are limited to three minutes.
While brief, the meeting provides a clear view of the routine yet essential processes that uphold local governance and ensure transparency in Benbrook’s electoral outcomes.
