Benbrook Middle-High School has plenty to celebrate this week as several student-athletes proved that dedication pays off both on the field and on the stage.
Balancing early morning runs with pre-dawn band practices, these students pushed through a demanding schedule and came out on top.
The JV Boys Cross Country team claimed the District Championship title, led by standout performances from Vincent Martinez (5th), Daniel Viola (7th), and Aldo Fierro (22nd).
The Varsity Girls team also brought home the District Championship, with Ruth Walker taking first place overall as the individual district champion.
Next up, Ruth and the Varsity teams head to Lubbock to compete in the Regional meet on Tuesday, representing Benbrook with the same heart and rhythm that keep them in step every morning.
