It was a clean sweep for the Benbrook Middle-High School Bobcat Cross Country program, as both varsity and junior varsity teams brought home District Championship titles under the leadership of Coach Donart and Coach Simon.
The Bobcats dominated across all four divisions, showcasing teamwork, endurance, and top individual performances. On the varsity side, Owen Atkins and Ruth Walker were crowned District Champions, leading their teams to first-place finishes. Strong showings by Dylan Gonzalez, Gemma Lackey, and several others secured podium spots for Benbrook in nearly every race.
The JV teams continued the momentum, with Anamaria Ortiz claiming the top title for the girls and standout performances from Oliver Hoyler and Brady Ball on the boys’ side.
With district victories now behind them, both teams are setting their sights on Lubbock, where they’ll compete at the Regional Meet.
