Off-Road Rage at Rolling Hills Elementary Sparks Carpool Frustration.

Carpool pickup at Rolling Hills Elementary turned chaotic this week when a lifted Dodge truck bypassed the waiting line, drove off-road to the front entrance, and dropped off a child ahead of everyone else.

The move, described by parents as ‘off-road rage,’ left many stunned by the blatant disregard for safety and fairness.

The driver reportedly claimed he did not realize driving around the line was not allowed. Parents, however, were quick to point out that such maneuvers not only break the system but also endanger teachers, students, and others walking through the lot.

Adding to the confusion, some parents admitted they still struggle to understand exactly where the double carpool lane begins. According to school guidance, the second lane starts just past the back parking lot near the shed and dumpster, ensuring teachers arriving around 7:20 a.m. can still park without being blocked.

While some take the wait in stride, joking about catching up on TikTok, most agree that respect for the process matters. A few even claim the same truck has repeated the stunt throughout the week, frustrating parents who faithfully wait their turn.

Carpool lines may test patience, but residents say cutting corners with off-road shortcuts is not the answer. As one parent put it: everyone’s kids deserve the same safe drop-off.
