Development Boom Leaves Whitestone Neighbors Asking How Long.

In Whitestone Ranch, the steady rumble of construction trucks along Jerry Dunn Road has become part of daily life.

Residents say the noise is relentless, with heavy vehicles running up and down the street from dawn to dusk. The question on everyone’s mind is simple: when will it end?

The honest answer seems to be not anytime soon. Large-scale growth is underway across southwest Fort Worth, including new phases of Ventana West, buildouts in Bella communities, and the addition of Maverick, a luxury gated neighborhood rumored to feature multimillion-dollar homes and multiple golf courses.

Developers suggest that when all is complete, as many as 10,000 to 15,000 homes could reshape the area.

For longtime residents, that projection feels daunting. Some neighbors joke that the construction may outlast I-35 improvements, while others admit they may move before it is all finished. Estimates vary widely, but the most common guess is decades of continued development.

For now, patience and perhaps a good set of earplugs may be the only solution. Growth has arrived, and it looks like it is here to stay.
