Late Sunday evening brought a tense scene near Las Vegas Trail and I-30 as Fort Worth police pursued a red pickup truck tied to a domestic disturbance.
Witnesses described helicopters overhead, sirens from every direction, and a heavy police presence racing through the area.
According to Fort Worth Police, officers first responded to Dryden Road, where a suspect was attempting to force his way into a residence. The armed man fled in a vehicle, leading officers on a chase down I-30 before exiting onto Las Vegas Trail. After weaving through traffic and neighborhoods, he was eventually taken into custody at a friend’s home in White Settlement.
Residents described the chase as chaotic, with some drivers nearly losing control and running off the road during the pursuit. Authorities have not yet released further details about potential charges, but confirmed the suspect is no longer a threat.
