August at the Benbrook Senior Citizens Center is packed with plenty of familiar fun and a few special events to keep things lively.
If you enjoy cards, the center offers Hand ‘n Foot, Bridge, Canasta, and “42” regularly throughout the week. There’s also Mexican Train Dominoes several afternoons to break up your routine.
A few highlights to mark on your calendar: On the 6th, join a birthday lunch complete with bingo and ice cream, plus a presentation and raffle. While some health talks scheduled for the 13th and 20th have been canceled, don’t miss the chance to meet Jose Briones from Seniors Helping Seniors on the 27th.
If you like dancing, there’s a Friday evening dance on the 1st, and the Lions Club will be active at the center all day on the 14th.
