After a year away from competition, the Western Hills High School Winterguard stepped back onto the floor with something to prove. And they delivered.
Competing at the NTCA event in Waxahachie to kick off Spring Break, the team earned a 5th-place finish in the Regional AA Round 2 division, along with strong feedback from judges that reflects just how far they have come in a short time.
The performance marked more than a placement. It was a return, a reset, and a reminder of what this group can do when they come together.
Behind the scenes, steady leadership from director Ms. Lagunas helped guide the team through the season, building both skill and confidence.
The roster includes Veronica Lewis, Kaylee Gallardo, Amy Guzman, Jbria Madden, Michel Trejo, David Pasillas, Joseph Betts, and Jayla Truevillian, a group that continues to represent Western Hills with focus and pride.
The season is not over yet. A community showcase featuring their show Magic is already in the works, giving Benbrook residents a chance to see the performance up close and support a team that is clearly back on the rise.
