The newly proposed tax rate for Benbrook residents is a reduced rate compared to the current rate.
In what amounts to a negative tax increase (actually a decrease), this new tax rate (subject to two public hearings) would be $0.6277720 per $100, compared to the current rate of $0.64000 per $100.
