Benbrook residents are invited to a free electronic waste and document shredding event on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 8 a.m. to noon or until the trucks reach capacity. The event will be held in the back parking lot behind the Benbrook Community Center/YMCA at 1899 Winscott Rd.
Residents must provide proof of Benbrook residency, such as a driver’s license or a utility bill, to participate.
Items Accepted for Recycling:
- Televisions, radios, telephones (excluding CRT TVs)
- Computers, monitors, printers (with hard drives destroyed by Innovative Electronics)
- Fax machines, copiers
- Microwave ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, refrigerators
- Gaming systems (Xbox, PlayStation, etc.)
- Vacuum cleaners
- VCR players
- Smoke detectors
Sierra Shred will be on-site with a shredding truck to dispose of documents securely. Residents are encouraged to limit their documents to a reasonable household amount and avoid including plastic materials like credit cards or compact discs with their documents.
