Benbrook Senior Center Sets a Full April Calendar of Activities and Events.

For many in Benbrook, the Senior Center is more than a place to pass the time. It is where friendships grow, routines take shape, and the week feels a little more connected.

April’s calendar reflects that rhythm, offering a steady mix of weekly games and special events designed to keep residents engaged. The center, located at Benbrook City Hall, is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Throughout the week, regular activities give visitors something familiar to return to. Card games like bridge, canasta, and hand and foot fill the mornings, while dominoes and mah jongg round out the schedule with options for all skill levels.

The month also brings a lineup of special events. On April 1 at 11:30 a.m., Birthday Bingo offers a lighthearted way to celebrate, though registration is required.

The center will be closed April 3 in observance of Good Friday.

April 8 features two opportunities to gather, with an early morning breakfast outing followed by Easter rock painting at 11:30 a.m., both requiring advance registration.

On April 10, an evening Friday Night Bingo adds a social twist, complete with dinner provided through local partnerships.

Later in the month, a field trip luncheon on April 22 at 11:30 a.m. gives participants a chance to get out and explore together, again with registration required.

For those looking to stay active and connected, the Senior Center continues to offer a simple invitation. Show up, join in, and be part of something consistent.
