Mix a Mocktail at Benbrook Library.

A pantry spice is getting a little more interesting treatment at the Benbrook Public Library.

The library’s Sugar and Spice Club returns Thursday, Sept. 24, with star anise taking center stage. Adults will learn how everyday spices can add flavor to non-alcoholic drinks, then mix their own Prague Plum Fizz mocktail using a combination of sweet, sour, and spicy ingredients.

Recipe cards and a sweet snack are included, so participants can enjoy their creation at the library and take home what they need to try it again.

The program runs from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. and is open to ages 18 and older. Registration is required. Sign up and see more upcoming events.
