Benbrook YMCA Swim Team Tryouts Set for Aug. 27.

Young swimmers looking for a team may have found their next opportunity at the Benbrook Community Center YMCA.

The YMCA will hold swim team tryouts Aug. 27 at 5 p.m. in its indoor pool, giving swimmers another chance to meet the coaches, get in the water, and see if the team is a good fit.

Participants should bring a swimsuit and goggles and come prepared to swim.

While Thursday’s session is the final tryout before September, the YMCA says additional tryout opportunities will be available later.

For local families considering competitive swimming, it’s a chance to test the waters without waiting for the next round of tryouts.
