Yesterday, at around 3 p.m., the Benbrook Fire Department responded to an auto accident on Highway 377 near the intersection with Sproles Street.
This area is well-known due to the Quick Trip and Whataburger. The incident involved an older model 90’s Chevy shortbed pickup truck, which was left heavily damaged and resting on the concrete median facing southbound.
By the time emergency responders arrived at 3:10 p.m., there were no reports of fatalities. The cause of the accident remains unclear, though overcast and misty weather conditions may have contributed to slick road surfaces. It’s still unknown if other vehicles were involved.
This story is developing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
