While most students are looking forward to sleeping in this summer, Western Hills athletes will be back on campus putting in work early.
Western Hills High School has announced its 2026 summer strength and conditioning program, running from May 26 through July 23, for incoming seventh through twelfth-grade athletes.
The workouts will take place Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and are open to both male and female student athletes preparing for the upcoming school year.
For many programs, summer conditioning is where seasons quietly begin long before the first kickoff, tipoff, or opening whistle. It is a chance for athletes to build strength, improve conditioning, develop discipline, and spend time training alongside teammates during the offseason.
The Cougar athletics staff says the workouts are designed to help students stay active, improve performance, and prepare physically for competition heading into the fall.
