Western Hills Williams Steps Into a Tense Role in Student Production.

As Western Hills High School prepares to take the stage this weekend, one character is bringing a different kind of tension to the story.

Dai’Juan Williams steps into the role of Arthur in Scattered Writings, the school’s original adaptation of Dracula. Arthur is introduced as Lucy’s devoted and well-off love interest, but as the story unfolds, his certainty begins to shift. Strange changes in Lucy leave him wrestling with questions that blur the line between love and fear.

Those close to the production say Dai’Juan leans into that conflict, adding emotional weight to a character caught between trust and suspicion.

The show runs May 9 and May 10 at Western Hills High School, with performances at 2:00 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $5, and the production runs about 50 minutes.

For families looking for something local to do, especially on Mother’s Day weekend, it is a chance to support student performers and enjoy a story that mixes classic themes with a fresh take.

At a time of year filled with end-of-school milestones, this production offers one more reason to show up and see what students have been working to bring to life.
