As another school year begins winding down, the Westpark Elementary PTA is asking the community for a little extra help behind the scenes.
The PTA is currently seeking volunteers for the week of May 11-15 to assist with boxing textbooks for the end of the school year. Organizers say even an hour or two can make a difference, and residents are encouraged to grab a friend and pitch in if they are available.
The effort helps staff prepare classrooms and materials ahead of summer while easing some of the workload during one of the busiest times of the year on campus.
Anyone interested in volunteering can sign up online.
